So on the weekend I beat Lego Star Wars for my Gamecube. It was fun but short. I’m not as happy with Lego Star Wars 2 on my DS. It’s -filled- with clipping errors, disappearing lightsabres/characters, friendly-fire AI, and a few other bugs. It’s pretty disappointing because the first one was so fun and well done.

This weekend I’m flying down to San Diego for ToorCon 8. Thankfully the TSA has found a little bit of sense and has begun to allow bits of liquids and gels back into airplanes. Finally i’ll be allowed to bring toothpaste in my carryon luggage.

So i’ve now been employed in SF for one year. It has gone by quickly. I don’t really have much else to say. Talk like a pirate.

Now, with my previous ranting I don’t want to imply that I don’t think the sacrifices and heroic efforts of the people trying to save others back five years ago is something to forget, it’s not. If you want to remember anything on this day, that’s what you should remember, the rising above mind blowing events to help strangers and friends alike. Remember the heros, don’t be afraid of the villains.

So the GF went back home yesterday. :( We had to get up ~ 3:45 so that we could catch an airporter bus that’d get us to the airport by 5:00. Early flights suck but it was the only one she could get when she extended her stay the extra week.

I picked up the LEGO Star Wars game for my gamecube on the weekend and I’m sure everyone knows this by now but damn it’s fun. While i was at EB picking up the game I decided I’d drop some bday money on one of them fancy new black DS Lites. I get to pick it up tomorrow when they’re actually released. I figure I’ll get the Tetris DS and since the LEGO Star Wars II game comes out on Tuesday I’ll pick it up too (how convenient).

In sad news it’s my first WTC anniversary day here in the US and it’s pretty depressing because that’s all that’s on the news or the web etc. SBC park is coated in giant flags. Going to the airport yesterday and then thinking about today really pisses me off. Here is a list from the TSA of all the things no longer allowed on an airplane. All that gel/liquid bullshit just makes my head explode there are a lot of better more effective ways of stopping terrorism that focusing on lame movie plot tactics that are worse that useless. Never mind the feasibility of the liquid bombing, which was debunked in many places.  blah blah no more ranting but this country is seriously messed up.

So yesterday we went to the SF Zoo and it was fun. Today we hit up Haight street for some shopping and what not. I got a jacket. It’s cool. Guess what colour it is. Tomorrow it’s the The Legion of Honor, it has paintings and stuff.
